Default A recent show: Ferry Corsten @ Digital Society, Leeds O2

I very rarely post gigs that we have done on PL, mainly due to me perpetually forgetting my camera and also the lack of time.

This event was no exception; I still forgot my camera.
Not my sort of music, but I still rather enjoyed the event however, so pog'd onto Youtube the day after and there were umpteen videos of the night.
5 mins with my scissors and pritt stick, over a cuppa, I threw the following together:
    (Just thought I'd share, that's'all)

The event was for a Ferry Corsten night.
AndyT and I trotted down to do the show, yet despite it being Jubilee weekend (red, white and blue 'n' all that) the client wanted: green, green, green and a bit more green.

    Kit used:
    • 1x 8W 532nm
    • 2x 4W 532nm
    • 2x 1W 532nm

    0% audience scanning.
    All done live.

    Hey, thanks for sharing

But when it comes to green only, I feel always amazed how there isn't some significant brightness difference between 1W, 4W or even 8W lasers, particularly with beam effects. I noticed this in one of my last show too... I believe the eye is saturated by light already at lower levels?

    @Jem: Hehe, thanks!

@SBK: I know what you mean... on film perhaps. But in person the 8W was many many many times brighter. I zoned it all fairly proportionally to minimise the noticeable difference too.

Yes video isn't helping for sure. Don't worry we still see the 8W is brighter in the smoke right at the aperture at least on some effects Just to be sure, the 1W were number 2 and 4, right?

I can see why there's no blue, you can't wire blues up correctly :-)

Digital Society not Digital Academy, not that it matters that much. Supposed to be a really good night.

I guess you were doing the Full on Ferry Event?

I'm also surprised you weren't audience scanning as Digital Society and Leeds O2 are usually pretty relaxed about it, it's Sheff O2 that are the problem.
