    Default Mitsi g71 quad

    My take on a quad for the g71's, worked to get it as small as possible and ended up being a 68mm x 95mm footprint with all beam paths to the first cylinder being identical.
    After quite a few attempts at various mirror mount designs, I settled with the most simple one which was actually the most effective too! They have XYZ adjustment and I didn't find them hard to align.
    Needs a few holes drilled to help adjustment but other than that nearly finished, no beam shots yet but with Dave's 2mm lenses and lava's regular cylinder lens set I expect 4.5mm and ~1mR.

    I'm not manufacturing or selling, just encouraging development

    Lookin good, lookin forward to some beam data/pics.
    What distance are you going with from coli to first cylinder, my build is similar with beam paths @ 42mm.

    This one is a little longer, 52-60mm from collimator to cylinder. Or it will be when I mod the cylinder mounts and move the lip back a bit.. so probably heading for a little over 4.5mm and under 1mR. ish

    Very. And I don't mean the biscuit (Not that those aren't cool in their time). There's something very neat about this module. I've read about optimum path lengths to first cylinder lens, drift in pointing stability, and all sorts of other subtleties that other, larger designs miss. This one seems to get them all sorted. Did it go all the way? Any p1tf4lls? Sorry, that was not to be avoided, I guess...

    I'm sure Mr P1t8ull will chime in soon enough with the technicalities. But I have to say, these are *amazing* modules. They live in my RGB projectors (3 of em)... Incredibly stable, beautiful tight sharp beams and even I managed to adjust one after I accidentally put it out of line... The only reds I have had my hands on that can touch them are either gas or OPS...

    i wish mine where like that but i expect yours are not getting pushed to hard so they keep a better beam ?
    mark hows those new greens running ??

    Yeah, the reds do 1.45 watts each, which naturally balances perfectly with the 2.1 watts of blue and 1.5 watts of green...

    New greens are spot on so far. One raises slightly faster than the other two, so oranges are slightly different in one projector than the others, but aside from that, they seem perfect. Stable, sharp, all identical in diameter/divergence and all doing 1.5 watts... Just waiting for this crappy weather to hold off so I can give them a good test over distance... So yeah, very happy with those as well so far... It's about time I had some decent green
