    Aaron;

If you remember, he invited us all to visit him when he was at FLEM back in March of 2008. Unfortunately, you have to fly half way around the world to get to him. (Can you say 28 hours on planes and in airports?) The good part is that he basically lives in paradise, so it *would* be one hell of a vacation once you got over the sticker shock of the airfare...

But yeah, the total output power of all the lasers in his house is greater than the total output power of all the lasers at a typical LEM here in the states! No doubt about it - he's got some impressive toys!

Visiting New Zealand, and stopping in to visit with Ray in particular, is definitely on my to-do list - just as soon as I win the lottery so I can afford to fly there!

    Hey Adam..

The doors open here mate .. all ya gotta do is get down here.

Anyone else dropping in to NZ feel free to drop a PM always love to talk lasers.

Yes we do live in a great little country.. but I must say have just got back from two weeks over in Aussie on the Gold Coast.. (Coolangatta) now that's very nice.. my favourite holiday spot. Be great to live there but you need to be a millionaire if you want to live in the nice spots.

By the way the Hobbits location and one of the film sets for Lord of the Rings is just down the road. They still sell tourists tickets to take a tour around some farm and say this happened here etc etc... amazing.

Anyway down this way yell out... I live in a tourist city so most people come here for the smell of the rotten eggs..... Rotorua is thermal for those that don't know.

Not to be outdone, we had a "micro LEM' here the other day, the guys came down from Auckland (Soulstorm here on PL) with their RGB laser (damn that 635 beam is fat)... so technically we had a LEM going for a few hours and we had almost a 100% attendance of all laserists here in NZ (all three of us) so by definition probably the best attended LEM anywhere in the world.

    Cheers

I have to apologize for only appearing right now on this forum...I have been a silent reader for a few months, trying to find answers that haven't been posted on laserfreak.net
but anyway, thanks a lot for the nice welcoming

Small precision: I m one of the french moderators on laserfreak ^^ so no worry, I really know how much it costs..

Small add (some parts I have forgotten):

    - 20 ALC60 head with tarzan in the garage ( I m selling them, so if someone searchs something)

    - 300mW 473nm: needs to be totally readjusted.. has someone the schematic of the big power supply from cni? I have 8 potentiometers in front of me, without knowing which one corresponds to what function..

Regarding the pictures of the home build dpss systems:
I will have to resize some pictures.. But for info: i m using 3 Ir diodes running, 10/18/23W @ 808nm
and having some trouble designing the TEC cooling units because I look for 0,01°C stability..
