    Default Cambridge Issues: New Install!

I have followed the Cambridge instructions word for word...

I cant get the scanners to do anything but what you see in the video...it almost seems like the power supply is not the correct type of supply...I am using the Traco Top 200-124's I am totally lost on what to try next.

The power supply's do not have the "sense connection's" But I was told I did not need it...I am thinking that I might need it.

Has anyone experienced this type of issue? What could be the problem...."besides me not having a clue as to what I am doing" lol

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

From what I am seeing in the video the PSU or the Galvo amp enable line (If equipped) is miswired. Assuming you are not sending it a image.

Sir, from the line of questions you keep asking in this forum, and from the video you just posted...

STOP, Find some one to wire your projector for you.

What I just saw is a overloaded or miswired PSU doing a EMERGENCY shutdown. Every time the galvos "twitch" in that video, the power supply is powering back up to see if the wiring or load fault is cleared. This is murder to the galvo amps. Something will shortly die if that is allowed to continue.

Find some one to do or check your wiring for you!.

Even a TV repair technician or community college electronics instructor would be of use at this point.

Can u draw-up / post a simple-drawing of your wiring-diagrams, as you've done them, including your 'grounding-scheme', for all? Also, where are u located? México?

I have to stop as Steve (mixedgas) suggested....he is correct...Thanks Steve Up here in Maine I know of no one...that has any clue whatsoever about laser projectors...so I am on my own

This is just a hobby for me I only use it in my house so no big deal...the projector I have is from CR-TEC it's called the Dream-7.

It's really not built very well, the first thing that went bad was the rear lcd panel gave out and everything stopped working....come to find out... that lcd panel control's "everything" so at that point I had to take it apart...and basically rewire everything just to get it working again, I put in a simple ilda breakout board...and everything worked great

Then.... I wanted to upgrade the scanners....and that's where my issues began LOL

I bought the 6215H and 673XX Micro Maxx servo driver about a month ago since then I have been trying to upgrade my cheapo scanners with the new ones.....I have read the Cambridge manuals from end to end.... many.... many times....I think I have them memorized I have a good understanding of how it is supposed to be wired and even felt confident doing it myself

But so far it has not worked out for me....Oh Well...I guess I will just give it a break for a couple of months and start again... who knows

The kit I purchased was a little over 2000 usd. I think they really could do a better job describing how everything is supposed to be wired for us less technical people

Thanks for all the help so far....I will give it another attempt at some point but for now... I am "fed up" lmao......in the closet it goes... before I do something I know I'm going to regret... I have been known to throw things out from time to time LOL

    Cheers

I'm surprised its not built well. I understood CR-Tech were producing pretty much the best projectors out of China.

I also believe that the lasers in there are Kvant and CNI and that usually that projector has DT 40 scanners as well.

The Dream is something I considered before I happened on the 2nd hand Kvant that I bought.

3W should certainly give you some fun at home, just watch the eyes!

Hey that sounds great, thanks for the offer I will pm you my # we can get together, I am in Augusta.

I am going to send the scanners back to CT anyway I want them to check them out...and fix anything I might have done!

I think with all the screwing around I have been doing I more than likely messed them up! $$$ Hey it's only money....lol you can't take it with you...as they say!

This time, I am going to see if they will sell me the power supplies and pre wire the whole thing.... that's what I should have done when I ordered them to begin with!

This way.... I might be able to see how the amps are supposed to be wired ....lmao

    Oh well live and learn.....

    Thanks Have a great day!
