    Default Galvo disaster :(

Well, I recently moved house. During the drip, it appears something in the box my laser scanner was in has smashed into the lid. The lid is warped quite a bit. Luckily the only visible damage I could see was a slightly squished lytic on the driver board. However, upon firing it up, I found that my X axis was pretty severely distorted. After checking all my cables to no avail, I noticed the PCB on the corner of my X axis DT25 has been crushed

I was able to put a screwdriver under the galvo and pry the back end of it back up to the point where it looks normal again (phew), however now I seem to have a few tuning issues.

I was wondering, could anyone give me some ideas to try touch the tuning up a bit?

As you can see, the 2 diagonal lines have spread. Also, if you look at the left centre of the middle box, you'll see that the lines don't align. This I haven't seen before?

It happens at the bottom too:

Also on the Top test pattern, there is a fair bit of X axis overshoot on the bottom (And some on the top too)

I have to slow them down to 7Kpps before it's fixed! Which adjustments should I be looking at to try bring this back into line?

EDIT: OK, I've managed to fix most of the distortion now. However, I still seem to have a bit of X overshoot on the Top pattern?
    Cheers,
    Dan

You call that a disaster ? Glad you got it fixed!

I was expecting mirror-shards and the smell of electronic melt-down, though.

Haha, was a lot worse before I pried the galvo back, that's for sure!
