    Default Stolen Laser Equipment

Should anyone see a Pangolin FB3-XE (Older style; larger case) for sale with serial number 7497 (I think!) please contact me as soon as possible.

A whole host of other things were stolen at the same time; MacBook Pro 17", iPad; the list goes on... The only tangible thing of relevance to this thread is the Flashback and its serial number.

Estimated lost in physical hardware cost to replace is ~£3,000; but if you include all the machine-licence-locked software I now need to replace/recover/transfer I am down about £11,000 in value.

Sorry to hear that too! Yeah, I'd say keep an eye on eBay. I can't imagine most people will know what it's for and may put it up there. I'd be very careful how you ask about the serial number so as to not throw up a red flag. I'd ask a generic question to the seller like, "Is the serial number over 7300?" or something like that and volunteer that you need it above a certain serial number in order to work with your equipment. Remember, you know more than they do. You can come up with some bull shit story why you need the number to check compatibility or something. And then get them specific.

I'd also suggest posting-up an 'Alert' to the ILDA and Laserist-list, as-well.. the more peeps that are aware you got knicked, the more that can keep an eye-peeled, for ya...

Sorry to hear that Dan; email one of us at the office if you want the FB3 remotely "fixed"... I haven't camped on eBay in a few years but I can always revisit an old hobby for a good Guy.

    Oh Dan!

So sorry to hear that brother. I'm feeling your pain. Such a helpless feeling, wish I could help more. I'll keep an eye out.

As Tony mentioned, where's my iPhone/iPad could save you. But alas all too often it's not been turned on. Fingers crossed.

Anyone reading this who has an iOs device, don't put it off. Set up "where is my iPhone" on your device NOW! Before you
    forget again.

    Sending some positive vibes mate.

    Hi Dan

    Ouch!, that's really sad news

If there's anything I can help you out with please give me a call.

Was this stolen from a gig or from your home?, I take it you've informed the police?

I know it's hard, but try to keep smiling

    Sorry to hear that Dan.

I'd also keep an eye out on the local free papers, most of which are available on-line as well as in the papers themselves.

The police should put the word out around the local clubs but you could also try that yourself as well by phoning around.

I can't see the laser side of the gear being easy to sell on as it's so specialist so unless they discard the FB3 that might be there undoing.

    I hope you were insured.

be sure to drop a email to pangolin. if for some reason it returns to pangolin for service or other reasons they will check the serial number if it is not stolen.
