Default Need some help with a logo

I can trace it with Quickshow but I get flicker from hell.

Can anyone get a useable ILD file that looks decent?

Might need to go two projector with that to get it flicker free. That's a lot of letters with a fairly detailed font. Nice logo though.

I agree with Aaron looks like too much text on the screen at anyone time.

I get 13fps on a straight trace so no wonder it flickers.

Options are 2 lasers as Aaron said or re-create the text and scroll it, although the latter might be hard as there are very few fonts in QS and it's an unusual font.

EDIT: You could also animate it so that only 1/2 the words were on the screen at any one time.

I think they just won't get their logo in laser at the gig. Not worth a ton of time to try and make it work.

    Thanks for the help!

Here you are Phredy, because I was feeling generous this morning and because it literally took me 2 minutes, a morphing version of the logo.

1st line displays then morphs to 2nd line.

22fps so a little less flickery.

    Spike and the impalers.zip

    All thanks gratefully received.

@White-Light: It actually looks pretty good!!! I had pretty much gave up, but your animated version looks good and works! No flicker at all....

Next time I will have to loook into alternatives before I give up. Never even thought to animate the logo.

Thanks again! And you can delete the zip file attachment from your post if you want.

Glad I was able to help.

As a rule of thumb, avoid text at all costs and if unavoidable, keep it to a minimum on screen at the same time through the use of scrolling or animation, partial message display through splitting it etc.

The problem with text is the high point count and severe scanning turns really drop the frame rate.
