Default BEYOND midi, configuring turn pots

It is a little getting used to but i managed to get my novation remote zero sl to work with beyond.
First i had to go to the settings, map midi surface settings option and then learn the sliders in the live control tab.
All sliders work fine, also able to map buttons but i am still unable to get the pots to work.
For example, if i want to assign a pot to Rotate-X i can configure, using the remote zero sl editor how the pot behaves.
    The availlable options are:

    Type:
    disabled
    cc (currently set to this)
    nrpn
    rpn
    sysex

    Midi port group:
common ports (currently set to this)
    program ports

    default value:
    99

    High value:
    127

    Low value:
    0

It is possible to choose for 14 bit values (0-16k)

    Display format :
    0-127
-64 to 63 (currently set to this)
    REL1,
    REL2
    APOT

I have tried several options, uploaded the modified template to the novation and verified that it is updated, then deleted in BEYOND the settings in Live control and midi surface and re-learned the function.
only thing that happens is that the x rotation is set to a specific value instead of being able to modify this.

    Advice/suggestions/tips all welcome.

I have also been having issues with the pots. I have the SLMKII but otherwise the programming is the same. I also cannot get values to set on the pots or the Crossfader slide the MKII has. It would be nice to use that crossfader for transitions but I cant get it to work yet. Sorry I cant offer much help but also welcome any suggestions as I am at the end of my programming skills with this.

I sent a request for information to Pangolin regarding the required midi behaviour for turn-pots and instead of a value between 0-127 or -64 to +64 it just wants to know which direction it is turning, have to figure out how to configure the pot using novation editor now to get what i need.

maybe it is the same with your controller.
