Taipans! 488nm, 532nm and 577nm in the mix. Hoping there'll be a 640nm in the next lot.

do you have drivers to go with these?
If not good luck coming up with 40A at 2v (guess) for these.
Not to mention all of the other goodies needed to run one. If you find a schematic, i would be interested in seeing it.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Interesting to know if they are failed units and why they failed, the Taipans are supposed to be rock solid, I have a load that have not failed "YET" .

These are non-trivial to run. You need a 50A diode driver with fast analog modulation, a large TEC cooled heat sink and 10A TEC driver to keep the head at 25C and 2 1.5A TEC drivers to control the internal LBO and BRF temperatures.

All of the working taipan's I've used have been rock solid even when (accidentally) abused. The failures I've seen were low power pump diodes and one that got a speck of dust on the OPS chip which destroyed the chip and the final focus optic. Probably best to run these with the cover on But seriously, keep the case cool and the diode current reasonable and they should last a long long time.

I have customers for most of the working units, though if you are serious about it, PM me.
