Totally sad. Licensed to Ill and Raising Hell were my first hip hop albums (cassette form.) I guess I was in Jr High School when it dropped.

I think friends and myself knew the lyrics to every song.

No school like the old school.

Kind of odd, a signal that my childhood is really gone.

Hmm I also had cassette tapes for Michael Jackson Thriller and Whitney Houston. Dire Straits, the Police and Tears for Fears better watch out.

    Totally classic video:

Way ahead of its time in the mid 1980's. RIP.

Listener-supported alternative radio station 'WBER' in lil' old Roch, NY is currently running a streak of BB-songs as a 'tribute'.. http://wber.monroe.edu/wber-high.m3u

..Side-point - great little station.. lots of good 'variety' very-few commercials.. mostly 'PSA's, etc..

    fwiw..
