I had 200mW of 473 Vs a 1 watt 445. It still made a difference to the colours.

Since you already have LD2000, you can drive your 445 from a separate (fourth) color channel -- thereby giving you RGBB. Then train the colors using our color training wizard. You can fine-tune the color training using manual training (the option when you go to Settings / Palette.

Bill are you going to add the colour training wizard to Beyond as well, or is that a wait and see?

Thanks, guys. I think I will give it a try. Finally, an excuse to crack open my 473nm and convert it from TTL to analog.

Our initial plans, and first implementation is without the wizard. So it means people will need to know what they're doing. But then, we called the program BEYOND didn't we? ;-) The hope is that laserists who are using such a program can handle a bit of heavy lifting ;-)

The wizard approach has a lot of steps. It does a good job, but takes at least a few minutes to complete. I think if someone knows what they are doing, they can get to a result much more quickly with our new approach, and I also think the result will be better. But there is a tradeoff!! If you know what you're doing, you can get to a better result quicker. If you don't, it will likely take you longer to get where you are going.

We'll watch and see how it works out in the field. If people naturally "get it", then that will be that. But if there is confusion, then we will add some wizard steps to this one was well. In fact, I don't think LD2000 version 1.0 had a color training wizard either. For sure our LD/QM32 system did not.
