Default Picked up the gasser today.

Well after an ace trip down to London to collect the Coherent Purelight, it's back home safe and sound.

Really really really looking forward to firing this one up; however I think it needs a good eye cast over it all to check all is well before it gets anywhere near that water or 'leccy combo.
It's not been run in 2-3 years; I've got a spare starter for it, as have been told that's the first thing to go on them if not run for a while. Everything else looks to be about right-ish.

DSLI-Sir-Jon has very kindly agreed to sort me a copy of the manual, so I want to study that in detail before "she goes live".

I think I might loose the Spekky CVL box and all the fibre launch clat; nice, but it will never be going out with us on any shows, so not all that useful.

It came with a 12.5kW "robot in disguise" 400->440V, as well as a bizarre Coherent filter box. I need to fit some nice 3ph connectors to most of the boxes, as only 1 leg of the filter box has one at the moment.

On my to-do list is to find/make a driver for the PCAOM, bolt that down to the front of it, and stick a pair of CT wagglers on the nose of it.

Will clean it all up, check the water fittings and hopefully will bring it down to the next Surfleet for a good ol' tinker.

    Very, very happy
Can't wait to see it spitting out photons.

And now for a few pictures:

    Hey Dan

If you're looking for somewhere to bin the fiber, launcher and Spekki CVL 'clat', give me a shout

    Cheers

    Hey Rob

If you have a good use for it i'll stand aside . That's assuming that Dan really does want to part with it...

I had something in mind but it'd probably be a while before I got around to it anyway.

    Cheers
