No guarantees on another TEXLEM next year. It would be nice, but with ILDA coming up for San Antonio and some of the other activities going on, I'm not sure what will be done in 2013.

I'm still traveling, so my access to the Internet will be very spotty through the end of this week. But I did want to pop in here real quick to let everyone know that Mike Dunn (!) will be at SELEM this year. So come on out and meet the legend... (Rumor has it that Mike may be able to donate a show or two for door prizes this year too. More details on that when I get back off my trip.)

finally got the $60 together (!)

should have my DF-50 by then

along with some LED moving head gobos and washes. truss, lighting tripods etc... not sure if non coherent light is welcome

I'm planning to have the cafeteria set up more like a club anyway. We'll have most of the projectors in there, so it seems the perfect place to set up other toys like LED strip lights, beam rails, intelligent lights, and so on.

I've been talking with Mario about doing a short DMX demonstration. Maybe you can do something as well. Would be nice to let people see how they can use DMX equipment to enhance their laser shows...

Bill actually asked me about making some LD2k DMX instructions, I wish I had the time to make some videos, maybe after I find a permanent home (!)

but doing a quickshow/beyond DMX demo would be doable live since its pretty straight forward... LD2k you have to think about a bit lol

so ya let me know and I can whip up a DMX presentation?

Oh Lord... just realized that's means I'd have to drag along a bunch of Martin scanners too. The day I have to rent a box truck to come to SELEM fast approaches.
