My name is Ray Meyers from Erie, Pennsylvania and I'm rather new to the laser show thing. I have 2 SC-500 lasers (480mW Highpowers RGVs), a Y ILDA splitter with the X axis flipped. I have the iShow DAC, and Spaghetti Laser Software.. Just a little intro that I'll probably be told has to go somewhere else, but I wanted to intro myself... Now on to the main reason of this post..
I have created some Spaghetti Shows to some songs and was wanting to share and receive feedback or whatnot on them. I'm new to this and I see you can post ZIP files so I will be doing that when I get on my other computer, but I was wondering if there was a way to get them onto this FTP site I keep seeing people discuss..
Current shows that I have are:
Safarri's - Wipeout
Villiage People - YMCA
Darude - Sandstorm
Avicii - Levels
One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful
Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling
These are mostly animation type shows -- however when I have my hazer on in the basement in my 'laser theater' (LOL), they do make quite a cool effect.. Anywho - I'd like to make a contribution and see if there's a way to share it on the FTP..
I would love to help out, and also have help. I know the lasers I'm using aren't top notch, as well as the DAC, but for entry level I think it's a good start..
Thanks for taking time to read and any help or suggestions are always welcome!
That's awesome. I am not sure what the status of the PL FTP site is these days but if you want you can add them as posts on the Hinged Newt Spaghetti forum. http://hingednewt.lefora.com
I'm not certain of the ftp status either but, as Gary (JohnYayas) above is the creator of Spaghetti, he'd be the best person to host your efforts on his forum. As a Spaghetti owner and content fiend, I'd love to check them out and would offer my opinions no matter how "untrained" I still remain. As I posted in another thread though, art is in the eye of the beholder so, as long as YOU'RE happy with the shows and enjoy them, that's all that counts. It's always helpful though to get some feedback from the more experienced people though, as I assume it will help you continue to make better shows. Welcome to PL!
Ok all - here is one that I'm willing to put out there for advice.. Let me know some tips or what not - I have more (I just finished a Pitbull - Back In Time show) I can't wait to try it out on my laser first LOL
Anywho - enjoy, and let's share some of your work too!! Come on!! it's fun and why we are here
Ray
EDIT: BTW - it is a Spaghetti Show for those just joining us..
Thanks Ray! I'll take it to work tomorrow and try and get a moment to check it out. My stuff is still all set up as I was running a couple shows before leaving work this evening.
