I'm gunning for a 532nm 1w; talking to nono-shen right now and she offered it for $1900 w/ shipping but my concern is that there isn't an IR filter on the model by default, so I'm still thinking about it and weighing my options.

A 1w without a IR filter is sheer stupidity in my mind. Ask to have a IR filter fitted, or don't buy a laser without one.Originally Posted by BoomDog

I was going to say... 1W of green w/o a filter could be .5 W green .5 watt of IR. I know I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.
Can a green laser NOT have an IR filter and still NOT... expell any IR radiation? :?
I asked her to try it, but i doubt i'll be getting the results I want. This is def not the first time I've heard how much of a change IR can cause in a laser. Next I might be looking at buying a laser from Aijii/Dave, but I'm giving Nono-shen a chance to see what she can do at least.
Selling without an IR filter is Stupid, dangerous and Deceiving in my opinion.... If it cannot be verified that it has one, DONT BUY! The Chinese manufacturers will get the message and start to install them....

Lightglow has 1watt from nono-shen. But I dont know if it is with or without IR filter:
I hope it is with IR filter since I will order one from her.
No ir filter, no deal!
But I guess it has IR filter!
UPDATE:
I talked to liteglow and he says it has IR filter! ;D
Yea I PMed him about it; perhaps the difference was that he ordered a "1.2 watt" laser while i'm looking at the 1 watt. Another concern was that his had the wrong sticker on it; which is very concerning since A. I'm going to get the thing varianced, and B. the variance rep of my region lives 20 minutes away!
well he orderd a 1watt system.
Hmm... lol well there was still a class IIIb sticker on it
