My galvos resonate when I turn on my projector

Hey,,

So when I turn my projector on without ilda input I can hear the galvos start resonating.

Is there any way to prevent this?

Grounding issue inside the case? Then when ildaswap is connected the ground is completed?

Yeah, definitely sounds like a grounding issue.

1) Does your projector get controlled by an external controller? (computer with DAC?) or is it a plug it in and forget Laser?
2) If it can work both ways, try turning unit on in Auto mode. Same problem?
3) Computer and LAser should always be n same ground plane. Once they see different grounds, you are ASKING for problems. Or if case is floating i have heard nothing but nightmares.

Make sure ALL of your grounds ALL connect to ONE central location. In all honesty, the way i do it i dont think is the "proper" way, but i have YET to have ANY problems...

ALL grounds (AC and ILDA ppin 25) connected to each other and to case (earth) ground.
