Default Help with Riya multibus lite DAC

Ok I got a $500 dollar rgb no name china made laser. I bought a Riya multibus lite usb dac from dr.lava.

I have tried a variety of "demo" programs but none seem to let you output to the laser.

I was able to get a stripped down version of ishow, but it wont see the dac either. Do I need to move certain files (drivers?) into the Ishow program folders before it will recognize it? Or will it only see its own DAC?

Very frustrated, I just want to create or display some simple effects and animations during a family fireworks display, get them to go along with certain songs, so we integrate the fireworks and laser together via timeline type control.

Um, as far as I know, no one has ever ported Riya Hardware to ISHOW software. The ISHOW software would need to be rewritten and recompilied, only ISHOW can do that, and it is NOT their best interest to do so. So its not simply a matter of copying DLLs to the directory. There is no ILDA standard for software-hardware interoperability, the ILDA standard only covers the analog interconnect between the DAC/CONTROLLER and the projector, and the Galvo tuning.

So say buying Pangolin and a ISHOW dac does not mean the ISHOW DAC will work with Pangolin.

ISHOW DACs have been ported to Spaghetti software, but that is about it. LFI player is complex, and older, but it is free and will support your RIYA hardware. Your other choices are say LSX, or Spaghetti for the software with the RIYA. LSX is like 165$, Spaghetti's price varies, but I belive it to be less then 100$.

Does RIYA showplayer work for you?
Make sure you turn on laser emission in the Riya config software, by default it can be off for safety.

PS, where are you located, maybe there is some one nearer to you whom can help in person?

Got any screen captures of the RIYA setup/control program your using?

Good luck getting your software licence. Seems a few folks have been waiting a long time for stuff from that seller.

Actually Andrew has been in constant contact, quickly answering all my questions. I also purchased my RIYA dac from him about a month ago with no delays or worries.

It is a bit of a drive, but if you ever want to make the trip to GR I can show you the in/out of the projectors and test to make sure yours is working correct.

There is a test utility that you can get from RIYA (as well as a settings utility.) It has the ability to project a test pattern.
