Default Built a little green projector

I was given a point source housing last winter by Picasso (Thanks man!).
Wednesday I finally got around to having the base plate drilled and tapped on a 1 inch grid, with standard 1/4-20 holes.
Tonight I got around to doing something with it.
I mounted my yag head and picassos system on the table, bolted them down, added a safety shutter pair, mounted two steering mirror mounts and put on the cover. And with that,I was done.
I spent maybe a total of 3 hours assembling it.
It felt good sinking my teeth into this project.

I started with the base from a point source system housing. I had a co-worker drill and tap the base on his mill (thanks Chris!)

I tried a couple different positions with the yag head to see what would work best.

Mounting the excalibur head was easy enough as it fit snugly beside the yag head.

After everything was screwed in place I added the mirror mounts and mirrors. I was a bit concerned about the height of the scanner assembly and it running into the top of the housing, but it was not an issue and fit perfectly.

The completed box with the cover in place. It all fits in the rack mount case.

Just a scan engine from Lighting Systems Design and a Spectra Physics Millenia doing what, 5 watts?

You really must get serious and stop toying around with these "little" projects.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
