Default Coherent Star II 5 Watt Argon-Krypton Laser (Entertainment Ion Laser System)

    Dear friends of laserlight,
i want to sell a giant entertainment laser system.
The tube is freshly refilled last month with a bigger portion of krypton.
The location of the item is germany.
Due to the weight I advise pickup in germany because it's a fragile freight.
Maybe shipping in Europe with a possible risk of a broken gas-tube by clumsy carrier.

    Specifications:
Type of Laser: Argon-Krypton Ionen Laser
    Model: Star II PL-LD/R
    Model Power Supply: I70
Manufacturer: Coherent Inc., 5100 Patrick Henry Drive, Santa Clara, CA 95054 USA
Optical output/power: over 4,91 Watt incl. 1W red (measured by Coherent Fieldmate)
Input Power: 3-phase with ground, 50 or 60 Hz, 208 vac (±10%), 40A per phase
    Tube Voltage: 221,7 Volt
    Tube Current: 39,5 Ampere
    Cathode Condition: excellent
    Krypton Ampoules: 4 (all unbroken)
    Year of manufacture: 1996
    Operating hours: 5190
    Dimensions (lxwxh): 104 x 15 x 16cm
    Weight Laser Head: 55kg
    Weight Power Supply: 45kg
Condition : reconditioned (after the refill better than the specifications)
Included in delivery: Laserhead, Power Supply and if required a power transformer for 380V (Europe Standard)

Afaik, they'd have to 'braze' new copper-stems on.. not so much 'can't', but.. 'wouldn't'.. I mean, why?? Just replace the tube.. The I-90s were a little easier, since you can fill from the fill-stem, into the resirv. / valve it off from the tube.. but, 'new glass ampoules' for an I-70?.. Mmmyeah, I'm gonna go with 'bzzt'...

I'd like to keep the original condition like out-of-the-box except the gas filling!
And a little bit more power won't hurt.

Sounds like this whole tube has been completely rebuilt if there are new gas ampoules. Id think that's a smokin deal for a star2
    Will there be three phase!!!!

    Hi.

Like to share some of our experiences:
I know Dirk's work. And can say you don't fine anyone doing a better work on ION tubes. He is the best.
He won't sell something there issen't working right. He is a perfectionist with he's work, and all the time we have travel to him, to buy or get something repaired, we got the best service and can only say he is a great guy. :-)
We had several Coherent purelight 6 watt systems some years ago. Dirk did rework and refill on them, and got them from 4.5 to over 6 watt of white light with good red. And they are still running perfect now it's several years now since we sold all ION lasers and switch all to DPSS and diodes. :-)
