Actually, a bit more than that. If I remember correctly, you can't get more than around 5 mw out of the reader diodes before they go POOF! You can get upwards of 35 mw out of the burner diodes. Of course, you have to spend like 700 bucks to buy the blue ray burner in order to get your hands on the diode...
