Quality Safety Glasses - Any Advice?

Hi,

Just coming back to the hobby after quite a few years away. I have a pair of safety glasses from y old gas based days, but moving to Solid state RGB feel I may need some new ones. what would you suggest? I assume I need red, green, Blue. But what manufactures and what should I be looking for in terms of attenuation. I would much rather buy reasonable quality now rather than cheap now and not be able to see the webpage to buy my next pair! Also what suppliers would you recommend, I am in the UK. Obviously good value at a good price.

Thorlabs. I'm impressed with my multiband lab pair. Yeah, 4x the cost of Asian Import, but very, very nice.

OD4 to 1 watt total power, OD 6 for anything above that. Thats my story and I'm stickin to it!.

Easy ordering, and the Labsnacks package will make it to the UK without spoiling.

I have two pairs of Bolle goggles. They aren't cheap but they are very good.

I guess I should have thought of Thorlabs, but didn't think of Bolle. where is the best place to buy in the Uk. Most of the traditional scientific /research companies used to be very expensive and difficult to deal with?

Just gave these a shot - http://www.ebay.com/itm/190535129767#ht_3106wt_956 - Got the 'model 66's - except, those are OD 1.5 between 400 and 604nm (...yes, '490nm is a typo'... they are 400nm +.. ) and OD 2+, from 605nm - 700, etc, etc... Customer-service was a bit slow / comms weren't so hot, but.. the glasses are top-notch... made by Phillips, and very solid, especially for the $$..

I'm shopping for a pair too. Actually just sent an enquiry to Brendon at SP3+ about their goggles (i'd previously ordered a ND50 filter for my LPM from them and their service is excellent):

Two filter types cover the entire range (3PL and ISHIELD). Not sure what the difference is, so I've fired off an e-mail asking for advice on which ones are best for setting up projectors with modules <5W

Will let you know what I find out...
