    Default Laser Aparture

Searching for a laser aperture window.

    Musts:
cap to protect the outside of the aparture window.
    high light-passing percentage.
    Mountable or glueable.

    Prefer:
    Round design not with edges.
Automatic cap wich opens up when for example lasers turn on(but must be easy to apply)

I right now have something like this:

    Budget: max 80$.

I was going to suggest a camera AR filter, though I've no idea how the automatic opening would work - Would it not be easier to use an actuator wired to the ILDA board?

    AR windows: http://www.edmundoptics.com/optics/w...y-windows/1919

According to this post: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...757#post220757, mounting at a 22.5 degree angle helps with the 445nm.

goldenstarwinni has square 6x6,7 and round 6,1cm dia windows with good AR coating.

Don't buy the dealextreme UV filters, they're just plain glass with NO coating.
I expect most of the sub$10 ebay filters to be just as bad.

Some lcd and dlp beamers have an automatic aperture, which would be nice for a laser projector.
I doubt it is available as a separate part.

SLR camera filter ring adapter + Hoya HMC pro uv filter
For caps you could use something like a Butler Creek flip scope cap, but unfortunately it's manually operated
