Default Measure wavelength of laser diode and high power LEDs

    Hi,

I'd like to measure the wavelength of a 650nm laser diode, a 808nm laser diode, and a high power 405nm LED. Is there a wavelength/spectrum meter that can do that? Does anyone know of a good wavelength/spectrum meter? Is there any place that rent these type of instruments? My company is looking to purchase one or rent it for 2 weeks.

    Thank you for your help.

We have a vere wavelength meter that would work very well for lasers and LED's. It is in good condition and we would accept $1,250 for it; if you are interested send me a PM please. Phil

I designed a product based on silicon photodiode sensor to measure wavelength. The wavelength measurement is independent with intensity of the incident light. It can measure any wavelength between 400 nm to 950nm with accuracy of 1nm. It has a lot features such as setting different gains to accommodate high intensity light, displaying results on LCD and send results to computers through RS232 port and even can be calibrated.
It is very easy to use. Just use 120Vac outlet you can enjoy all the features. In addition, the size of it is only 5*5 cm and the price is very decent. 395 USD without LCD function, 450 USD with LCD function. And you can have even better price if you order 10+.

You can find used spectrometers on ebay. I have even seen some newer fiber input ones sell for around $800 new.
