I'd like to make a suggestion for running shows, how about we set it up in sections, example: 3-5pm open, 5-6pm break, 6-8pm is classic rock, 8-9pm break, 9-11pm pink floyd, etc.
What about sound, from what I understand Club SELEM is covered, but what do we have for the auditorium? How about a mixer?
As for equipment, I have 2 QM2K's in a single PC, I can run the .net program to get them both on the network if desired. I prefer to leave my QM2K's attached to my projector, but at some point I'm sure we can connect up someone elses. ADAT or other DAC may take some playing with, I put shutter controls in my rack to bypass pin 13 when attached to ADAT, but I don't know about color, both my PCAOM's are receiving differential from my QM2K's and I'm not sure if I need to modify an incoming single ended signal to be more compatible. I may need some time to play with this when we get there. I'll be sure to bring my o'scope!

The "block schedule" idea sounds pretty good, but I'd hate to see the mornings go to waste ~I'd still like to have access the gear in the AM for tweaking zones, beam targeting practice, etc. Perhaps start a bit earlier in the PM, and forego the 2nd PM break. Kind of "compact" the schedule somewhat to give folks time to move to the other venue later in the evening. Just an idea to discuss along the way...
I fully agree with your wish to keep your projector connected to your own computer! In fact, one of my goals is to NOT rearrange projectors and controllers any more than absolutely necessary. I can't speak much to the other controller systems - not familiar - but I would really like to network as many Pango-equipped systems as possible, and also be in a position to "pre-plan" as much as possible - hence, my push to go for assigned IP addressses, planned in advance.
I really believe that everyone that wants to should be given the opportunity to run THEIR shows, from THEIR computers. This is part of my reason for wanting to make the most of the mornings - a little coordination, zone-tweaking, and projector settings standardization ahead of time, and anyone with an LD2000-equipped laptop should be able to plug into the LAN, and run their shows. SELEM is about the ony opportunity that many of us will have to actually get the experience of both designing AND running a multi-projector show, and I definitely want that experience, start to finish!!
From talking with Adam, it sounds like the sound system is supposed to be covered...fingers crossed...

That would be...none. I don't have any QM.net's. The Netlase with the Phonenix 4 Pro+ is the only thing I have with an IP address and I just set it up the other day 192.161.1.100 or some such nonsense like that. I'm not net savvy.
Oh, and I'm a wee bit concerned I might be fucked with the second Kvant. It's in transit right now from Slovenia to here and I got a call from DHL for some paperwork today. It's sitting in Kentucky waiting to clear and I think it was opened because they wanted my SS number and me to fill out an FDA 2977 form or whatever the number is. It's the one about importing a radiological device and whether its compliant or not. I checked that it's not and wouldn't be entered into commerce until being made compliant and that I'd be sending in the petition in the next 60 days or something. I'm planning on posting a "HELP NEED ADVICE" thread shortly - just didn't have time tonight.

Hey Y'all; sorry I have not chimed in until now. I have had a bunch of stuff going on, still do, but have now had some time to plan a bit more than I have so far.
I recently got the chance to set up a laser show room that used 6 projectors, 5 for beams and 1 for graphics, and I thought that would be a great set up for the auditorium. With DZ's set up we can either do 2 graphic projectors or 1 graphics and 1 special FX table.
To show off the show room I went through close to 30 LD2000 shows, some stock, some not, and changed the projection zones to use 5 or 6 zones depending on if there were beam shows or graphic shows. I have 26 of them in an Autoplay list to start with.
As for projectors I am only planning on bringing the 2 Kvants and my DIY5000; I will try to get two more so we have all 5 beam projectors but cannot be sure I can get two more projectors. It might be best to put Brads 2 Kvants down as auditorium projectors to start with.Maybe, if someone has an extra graphics capable projector they can spare, we may want to get a "third" graphics projector so DZ can just sit there and play with special FX on both "heads" all weekend; since he's so special anyway.

As an update, the new new puppy arrived on Monday - even with my paperwork glitch on the 2877. So, yes, both Spectrum 1.6's will be there.We used my build from Marc (3 watt) last year as the graphics box for the auditorium so, it could be available this year as well. I'll likely have some more pj's there too for the cafeteria and, if there is room, I'll bring the 1 watt argon ML-10 mobolazer.

Dinner on Thursday is going to be a "what do we feel like" kind of thing. All the locally-owned places we've used in the past have closed, so we'll probably have to go to one of the chain restaurants in Hickory. I'm up for just about anything, but I know they have a Carrabba's and a Longhorn Steakhouse...
