Been using Beyond with the Windows 8 Release Preview and a touch screen. Seems to work awesome! Touch screen definitely works better in Windows 8 than it did in 7. Going to give it a thorough burn in test soon.

Cool! Might have to dualboot Win 8 on my eeepc and see how it handles with the touchscreen. Actually forgot I'd installed a touchscreen on my main 19" monitor until this post
Windows 8 will only be a flash in the pan like win7. Soon it'll be win9 and win10 and 11 before you know it .. ;/ Kinda irritating imho, but I'm sure there's those who disagree and like the newer and better stuff always coming out. I just dislike having a new pc with win7 and it will be obsolete in 2 years .. meh ..
How is win7 a flash in the pan? I've been using it for almost 3 years now. That is hardly a flash in the pan. Definately an improvement over XP. It might be this laptop as well, but I have a hard time trying to crash it. I can actually run it for 8 hours straight with all my USB junk attached without bluescreening on a gig. That was impossible with the old XP laptop.
3 years, wow .
.....XP and bluescreening because of USB?
I'm not sure what you do to your PC, but i've hardly got any Bluescreening with my XP, unless i've been doing some really wacky stuff with registery or other windows files....
Also 3 years nowadays seems like its becoming the standard, mac OSX is no longer virus free and the amount is growing, apple seems to show signs of fixing things that aren't broken (slowly but surely) (just look at the iphone).
Also it will take years to come before windows 7 support is dropped, nobody is forcing or requiring you to buy windows 8, in fact I dont even like windows 8 my opinion is very negative on it.
Even though it has arm support.
Yeah I'm the same. My biggest beef is with its use of the Cloud.
The last place I want all my data is where someone can hack it (lets face it a central database of everyone's data is far more attractive than finding and hacking an individual home pc, and where governments or other interested parties can spy on what I have, where I've been on the internet etc. I might not have anything to hide but equally I value privacy and I like my data under my control and guardianship.
The cloud is the one reason why I won't buy Windows 8.
At least its better than windows 3.11
What a great tag line!Windows 8...
At least its better than windows 3.11
