i dont see anything burned or cracked, just as the other 2 drivers of lasever wich both smoked :/
smoked doesnt always mean its dead. one of my galvo motor's once smoked....still works beautifully.
But in this case i do think youre right.
the best picture of the driver is on their own site i guess:

Lasever keep records the settings of each laser
Dispatched, you also get a certificate of powers
At different modulation voltages, also these lasers are nothing more than a tec cooled
Pointer core easy to preset a driver at base settings and give good power
And tweek later , as i have done with mine
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.

Could it really be? 1 minute test is too long without additional metal around the heatsink?
I now know the reason of the problem. The driver*should be cooled. The voltage psu dropped because the transitors on the driver got too hot. The only difference between your working place and our testing place is that we have big metal plate. Our testing shelf is*aluminium board*1 meter long*half meter*wide 10 mm thick. The driver gets hot very quickly without additional cooling.*All users put our*OEM drivers LSR-PS-I and LSR-PS-NI*in their system*with metal board and fan. Our complete power supply LSR-PS-II and LSR-PS-F and LSR-PS-FA include the OEM drivers and psu in them. They can be used solely because they have big metal*box and large fan.

Please add cooling for the driver. I think the problem would go. But I donot know whether the transistors had went wrong.
and it doesnt tale away i tested the unit on a aluminium plate when it also smoked...

I am lost, my lasever's have a fan on the driver a fan on the laser head
And are happy to run all day with no heatsink at all ,and on 5v

Who can make a review of the new red Laserver modules? or at least say something

That module has just came out of the open. I also want one if it can be overdriven.

With you on that... I would like to see some beam pics. P73's and G71's, even when corrected, can have some nasty artifacts on the beam unless carefully cleaned up. When you clean those up, your output power drops a bit. I am curious to see if they have been able to get a nice beam (comparable to the c@$io 445s) for graphics.

    Hey guys, just wondering...

can 2 drivers function correctly if they are both fed desame 1 modulation signal? or are there also 2 modulation signals/outputs required for 2 drivers?

    thanks!

(still not a complete story about this laser)

Normally yes. Just make sure you wire in parallel. It's the voltage that is important, not the current.
