    Default Ahhhh-- White-light at last...

I may be lagging behind, but now it sure is purdy to look at them.. The photos arent really an accurate representation as if your're sitting right next to them (but y'all know that already). Now, to just get my projector back together.. oh.. the pain... (and the fun).. The lasers are: (in no particular order) LaserWave 473 from Bridge (it's awesome)(bounced off a mirror), Lasever 532 I bought from Mike, and my home-brew 636.(Whew!--that waz a lot of work)
Now the assembly begins.. <sweat..sweat..>Where'd I put that allen wrench...

<edit> yes, the red one looks like a supernova explosion beacause I dont have any cover on it yet...

    Thanx, Y'all
Adam- Glad (finally) to be a member of the RGB club
Bridge- Thanks to your super blue I can crank the red all the way up, and-
Ben- Thanks, I built that from a 636 nm Mitsubishi diode. Fun project.
I hope to make some more of 'em.. 1st I gotta get Steve R's galvos running tho, and get the projector back together.. These things almost build themselves, dont they.. heh..(not)..

Unrelated topic-- since this is the Lounge, Who's a fan of MXC (from; Takeshi's Castle) heheha- I laff my ass off every time I see it. Today the had somebody vs. shoe people (who build pinch-a-loafers)..

    Cool

I haven't seen MXC in a long while, but yeah - it's some seriously funny shit. It's amazing what the Japanese can put on television! Some of those people get pwned pretty bad, but they keep coming back for more.

Yeah, some of it looks like some painful shit, but they keep on grinnin' I think I'd be calling for the hospital 911 after a log drop...

OK, I still can't get the 636 nm right so I wrote this little song (sung to the tune of 'Oscar Mayer Weiner")
OOOHHH--- I wish I were an optical engineer, That is what I'd truly like to be...... and if I were an optical engineer, no laser collimation would be out of reach for me.... The protons and the photons would align.. in-infinite- diversity.... oh and if I had a OC PhD, all the photons would align easily for me...
    hehe..

I thought you had that 636 coherent already... What is the problem? Divergence?

    Cool

    Aaron;

Yeah, he's been fighting to come up with a decent lens combination to tame the fat beam of those otherwise very pretty 636 nm diodes. He had it pretty close at one time - roughly twice as fat as a maxyz module - but he wants more.

I think it's doable... It just requires a lot of testing.

PS: Love the Oscar Meyer parody Steve-o!
