James, you are wrong. I know exactly how I could squeeze the information into a WAV file. I know about the custom headers that are allowed. I know all about it. I wrote a program called Bombora that streams 8 channel WAV files to laser devices and even offers real time control of everything that I have talked about. It can be done. But, it is so in-frickin-efficient. For one sounds track and one projector it is manageable. For multiple projectors, multiple media, etc, the file becomes so huge and unwieldy that it is worthless. Not only have I imagined what you ar talking about I have already implemented a good deal of it. So stop parroting the same old "you can't image it" and "you refuse to accept it" BS. If you want to state your case then get down to brass tacks and explain how you would do what I have asked about in an efficient manner that is easy for the user to deal with and quick in the CPU. Reprocessing a 1GB wave file to correct color data is not an acceptible answer in my opinion.
Anyway, call me a quitter or whiner or whatever you want but I am taking a break from this thread and this forum.
Back to, uhh, whatever we were on about, Draw3D is another part of that "package" who's name escapes me right now, and it's basically just an ILDA frame editor. Not sure if it's still being updated, but it seemed to work the last time I used it. I too have noticed the weird colour glitches out of trace-it, but I also have not tried the different colour export options it has, so it may just be an issue with a specific one.
thats right!
there are also a lot of people that just enjoy seeing the same show over and over I guess, and the crowd that just watches the show and listens to their own soundtrack on headphones and a PMP of some kind
we have made shows for newer music, and most of them do terribly at the box office, people want to see the same pink floyd/led zeppelin/doors shows over and over again... only newer music show that did well was Radiohead
Anyone remember what this thread was about?
