DIY "Sound Card DAC"

Hey everyone!

I was about to order the parts to bulild the cmedia/audiolase controller for my laser but I realised I have one of these:

Do I still need to buy the audiolase DAC? or will this do the trick?

Soundcard is only part of what is needed.
Find the Soundcard tutorial on Laserpointerforums in the laser shows section.

no that looks like its only stereo (2ch)
you need a 7.1 (8ch) or a 5.1(6ch) sound card
