Has anyone tried the Martin / Jem Compact Hazer Pro?
It looks like Martin just came out with a "Compact" hazer

Has anyone tried it? How does it compare to a LeMaitre Neutron? I called Martin, and their sales rep hasn't returned my inquiry.
We need a hazer that can handle a school gymnasium and not use a ton of fluid. Our second priority is portability - we're carrying it from school to school. I've been very happy with the haze from our LeMaitre Neutron (although it's heavy and awkward to carry), but ours just died, and we need to replace it quickly. I don't see many places that sell any hazers generally, so I'd love an affordable retailer recommendation too.
I was thinking of trying these guys:

Can anyone review this Hazer?
If not this hazer, I'd love recommendations of a sub-$800 compact hazer, or a good source of a used hazers that might be a good deal.
Thanks for your advice!
(Also, only vaguely related - I'm excited that I'll soon be receiving one of Marc's (CT Lasers) new Luminance RGB lasers! It'll look great with a new hazer, when it finally arrives!)

I did have a Jem Smoke machine which I sold to Paul on here. From my experience with that, I'd have to say the build quality of Jem / Martin machines is top quality.
As for the performance of the model you're asking about, I can't comment not having seen that product. However, I hope the reassurance on build is of some help.

I was looking at this as well. I'm ready to drop some $$ on a hazer, and I'm looking at all the Martin hazers. The problem is they seem very inconsistent with their sepcs. The K1 fluid consumption is 140ml/hr. But is that at full output? Somehow I think not as the Magnum is 640ml/hr at "full output," but it's only capable of half the volume. The Compact weighs in at 100ml/hr at "minumum output" and they list this as max of 70 hours of operation with 2.5 liters, no volume info. Anyone have any experience with at least the Magnum and K1?
I'm also curious if I really need something as big as the K1? I'm looking at doing some pretty big venues, perhaps as big as 4,000 sq ft.

I just ordered a Magnum 2500 from Farralane. I spoke to one of the owners, Mike, who I've been dealing with for about 12 years and he gave me some interesting info. He said the Magnum will easily do a 5,000 sq foot venue. It does use more juice than the K1, however, "the K1 fluid is also four times as expensive and is similar to the fluid for a LeMaitre Neutron at about $90+/gallon" ($40 on FroggyFog). He said in a real world setting, the Magnum is more than sufficient. I didn't ask him about the Pro, but looking at the specs, it's probably using the K1 fluid. I just ordered a Magnum and 2.5 gallons of fluid from Farralane for a hair over $600 USD with shipping (hazer alone is $495). They also have the K1 for $1075. If you're set on the Pro, give him a call and I'm sure he will give you a very good deal on it, although he did say that there's not much of a chance it's $749 because MAP on it is $1500, but if it really is that low, it's a steal.
