    Default Raytrack 30 from JMLaser

Has anyone experience with these galvo's and dual amp?
The amp 'looks' pretty good with all sorts of safety features (Noob here).
The set does 30 kpps at 8 degrees Ilda test pattern.

Those certainly are the preferred scanners in this group.

From what i have heard, these are Chinese scanners, with a driver board build by JMlLaser.

We have some of their widemove scanners, and are very happy with them. They are great for wide angle scanning

I was wondering about that, the driver seems to make all the difference since the galvo's are the same as for their K12N scanners which do 12kpps Ilda.
Still the performance of the DT-40pro's looks better: 15 deg 30kpps versus 8 deg 30kpps Ilda

True. I thought I read that they were the same but that applied to the K30 scanners which uses the same galvos as the K12N, both offered on mylaserpage.de. There is a remark on their website that says they are mechanically the same.
The Raytrack may be different - actually the mirrors look different so .....

    cheers.

When they say mechanically the same are they not just refering to the dimensions?

Not to make a whole big point out of this but they refer to the linearity of the scanners and note that the are mechanically the same for both models. I guess that means mechanically internally to the galvos. The text is in German:
Die K30s sind und bleiben preiswerte Scanner die mit professioneller Treibertechnologie “hochgezüchtet” wurden.
Wie auch die K12n (mechanisch gleich ) kann die Linearität nicht mit CT6800 o.ä. mithalten. In dieser Preisklasse mit integrierter Safety aber trotzdem nicht nur für den Hobbyanwender interessant.
I'm just surprised that they use the same galvo's for 12k and 30 k sets and that the difference in speed and price is made by the drivers. That makes me wonder if this is a trend we can expect from chinese galvo's. Perhaps the reseller finds it more cost effective to buy one type of galvo in china that is good enough for 30K with an expensive driver but can also be sold as 12K with a cheaper driver??
Since I'm figuring out what kind of set I want to get I notice these things.
I might just pick Jian's scanners - the reviews on PL are really good.
    cheers,
