    Default Cubism

300Evil's excellent "Nate's Borg Cube Lightshow Projector Build" thread reminded me of my version of a similar cube and inspired me to post these pics. Not as elegant as 300Evil's but very functional. This one had the scan amps and NEOS driver in the head with four GM20's for 1)main shutter 2)scanner shutter 3)lumia shutter 4)grating flag in front of scanners. The zero order from the PCAOM was used for the lumia wheel. Ion laser is air-cooled white light by Laser Physics. Weren't these about 500mW? (It was a lot of brain cells ago.)

Very nice I would love to have that in my collection very nice work. If you still have it around I am almost a neighbor...

My 'cube' ended up a rectangle as I ran out of aluminum stock... at least it still has an aom, no galvos in that version until I get a new set.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

Damn, that is a very nice projector. More compact than a lot of solid state projectors I've seen!

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
