Yeah, I don't know if it could be simplified and still look cool but be playable by a DT40W projector?
Don't think you'd even be able to draw 1 of those curvy lines fast enough let alone all of them
Could probably simplify it a bit by removing some of the curves, but it wouldn't be as "trippy"
Sure would look good on a scrim - right up to the point where the scanners screamed & melted!
(Found out the hard way - rasters images drawn too large can do that too...)
Hmm, MAYBE with a very small scan angle...?

All software has a learning curve usually proportional to its capabilities and unique features. Pointing with a mouse is in no way easier than tapping a key.
Actually that is rather easy to do in a 3d program. See my shows. I do it all the time but with 50% less lines. It s the even ratio of lines to no lines that I think makes it work.
