    Nice build!
However you can loose half the wheight by not using the thick alu plate to mount the powersupply etc. Just use ordinary 3mm alu and use the other thick part to build another identical projector driven from the same DMX/ILDA signal!

I have the same chinese galvo-set, from laserpic, and built my own mini projector:

The baseplate is only 4mm thick but it works good anyway. The enclosure (the silvery part) is from an electrical outlet strip used for offices, nice durable aluminium!

    Thumbs up

That's a very compact layout! Nice job...

Welcome to PhotonLexicon, by the way! Always nice to see new members.

As for a DAC, I suggest you look into the Pangolin FB3. For a lot less than you'll spend on an EasyLase USB DAC and a copy of Mamba Black, you can get Pangolin's FB3 controller *and* an entire software suite to go with it. (Including a 3D frame editor, a show editor, a live player, an abstract generator, and a text-effects generator.)

I would recommend to mount the galvo driver heatsink to the baseplate for extra cooling.

    Hehe nice caseings man.

I would suggest you dont use the "Mento Nose Sniff" (dont know the english word for it) to hold up the top plate though. That plastic is really thin and could easy brake or melt from the heat of the PSU.

but nice idea. and nice to see someone just scrambling toghether some stuff to actually build a functioning projector.

    Best of luck.

    Red face

    hey rfourt
I would suggest you dont use the "Mento Nose Sniff"
hahaha no that wont be a part of it haha I was just seeing how it would look like haha and it was the only perfect height for my mockup hehe
    no worries!

yea Im using any resource that I can find from my garage because its hard for me to get
    aluminium sheets

Another Idea I had in mind is to use two PC ATX PSU case only for the laser?
Dont know but I guess it wont turn out nice
BTW My finish will be black

    cheers
