Laser Warning High Power Green Lab Lasers for holography or Research (Not suitable for light shows)

    Hi,
Lasersam and I have two very nice high power green lasers for sale. Take your pick of a low hour Adlas/Coherent 315 II lab laser set at about 175 mW or a ready to use Coherent 315M-150 set at 153 mW mouted on a new Coherent heat sink with lab style power supply. We are asking $3K (plus shipping) for either laser. Both look excellent, work excellent and have been tested for a clean single longitudinal mode low noise output spectrum...TEM 00 with a round beam also.

Send me an e mail if interested and I will send you pictures. Phil and Sam, pbergero@usf<dot>edu or call me (813) 974-2378 at work.

Lol.... If anyone wants i have some 300mW greens i'll sell for the same price... bwahahahahahahahahaha j/k

Seriously, 153mW of green for $3k? I think you might want to rethink your price....

No sir, the price is actually reaasonable. Please read the listing again and note that the lasers are single longitudinal mode...single frequency. These lasers have more than 8 meters of useable coherence length for holography and have almost no noise for sensitive experiments since there is no beat noise between multiple modes. If you quote a 150 mW 532 nm single frequency laser new from a major company you are looking at $25K or more. Try making a hologram with a 1/2 meter path length difference with your laser. Hahahahahahahah! Nothing. Don't get me wrong; for light shows your lasers are probably fine. Now...who needs a nice SLM laser for holography or for serious science? Cheap...$3K! Phil

It is hard for solid state lasers to beat ion's beam quality... The price is fair.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

Thanks Adam. I agree is is difficult to beat a well adjusted gas laser for beam quality; lasersam and I are the ultimate HeNe laser nerds. These high end DPSS lasers do have good quality TEM 00 beams that are almost perfectly round and have a low M squared value. Most folks doing holography expand them with a spatial filter anyway.
