    bit of an old laptop, but does have a parallel port (ish)

    He is William (Bill) Brenner, president of Pangolin. He's also a member here on PhotonLexicon. (User ID is "Pangolin".)

    Recently he posted about a new lasershow package that he was working on. (Look for his post about 1/2 way down the page in that link.) It is supposed to be aimed specifically at the hobbyist market and is also supposed to be quite a bit less expensive than the other Pangolin hardware/software solutions. That is what Liteglow was talking about.

    cool cheers, well if that parallex dac works with my other laptop then im sorted. but ill keep an eye out anyway
