    You bought one Mark?

Also is that a fibre fed head because it looks very small for 25w. I was wondering if the optics and source (presumably OPSL board) had been separated out.

I can wait for OPSLs to come down in price. Hopefully it won't take as long as DPSS did. I remember when DPSS was first available to the public. I was drooling over 10mW for $2000. 17 years later and you can get a 10mW pointer for about $10.

Why would VECSEL's ever come down in price?
(As much as I would like them too) it just doesn't make sense.
    - There is no such word as "can't" -
    - 60% of the time it works every time -

It's the nature of production. My first red 3mW 670nm laser diode was $300. My first 10mcd blue LED was $15. My first white LED was $25. My first 50mW DPSS laser was $800..... New tech is always very expensive, but when more companies get their hands on it and mass production begins, the prices drop. When CNI, Viasho, KVANT etc. start making these, we will get better pricing. Not to mention how inexpensive these are to manufacture compared to the price of any ion. It will happen. At least, I hope!
