Post Intersting new Spectra 3D laser by BriteQ

I just received my newsletter for a local disco shop, and noticed BriteQ has a new RGB laser projector available. The exciting bit is , and I don't get excited easily. This model seems to be a 3 different types of laser in one. It has a lumina effect, seems to use refraction gratings, and has a Ilda input. Its supposed to be capable of 25kpps. Anyone seen this model in person. I would love to see how they managed everything in such a small case. Would love to see the inside of the projector.

    That is interesting...

Didn't know that there was a Chinese projector out there that had a 3D/lenticular effect. At least it has keyswitch and remote interlock support.

Is that the 3d effect that DZ was looking for a month or two ago? Although, I think he was looking for the lens that
    created it..

Best that I can tell, it is the same effect that DZ was looking for. I'd like to get some of the same...

    Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster (or first time where I actually have something to contribute!). This unit is also sold in the UK under the Kam brand (Laserscan 1000 3D) http://www.kam.co.uk/index.php?actio...product_id=462 . I picked one up for £650 a few weeks ago and have been fairly happy with it for the price. I have only used it standalone and via DMX so far (still deciding on which ILDA software and DAC to go for) but it seems pretty reasonable. The bad points are that is TTL and the convergence needs some tweaking (next time I will definately go for analogue) and that the maximum scan in 15 degrees in beam mode (much wider with the grating effect obviously). Also, they market this as equivalent to 1w but as you can see it is barely over 500mw but still bright enough for my home studio needs. The good points are that it has a lot of different effects in a single box (beams, gratings, plasma (northern lights) and 3D (although the beams are not very clear in this mode).

The plan is to have 2 of these each side of a much larger analogue RGB in the centre - but need to save some more pennies.

    Anyway, hello everyone!!

    Best regards

Just thought I would update, this laser is going back this week, as after around 10 hours of use the red and blue convergence has slipped quite considerably.

Why not just open it up and adjust the beam alignment? It would also be an opportunity to show the effects wheel and the "3D" lenticular material to the forum - I'd like to see that!

Me too! Me too! Yes, that was what DZ was looking for. I recall that thread and, it would be very cool to see how they're doing the insides of this.
