    Default Blue-Ray diodes cheap prices..

    I have Blue-Ray diodes that i can get for 400 a piece obo.. what would you guys pay?? would anyone be interested?

    If they are the standard blue-ray read diodes, then they're going to be very low power. The diode that Spec used to build his 20 mw "violet pointer" came from a burner, not a reader, and those diodes are a lot more expensive. I remember Spec talking about the reader diodes only making a couple mw before dying.

    No way I'd waste several hundreds of $$$ to build a violet pointer using a reader diode that would only give me a couple mw of output.

    Now, if EmaSe can provide the burner diodes (good to around 20 mw or so) for $400 each, then that might be worth looking into...
