    Default Custom animation in LSX

I have learned how to make some abstract because of swamidog. However, I want to be able to make custom non-abstract shapes (like a unicorn) . What would be the best way to do it in LSX? Do I need to use the quick picture editor and have a jpeg overlay in the background? Or is there a way I can import a vector file from a program like Adobe Illustrator?

Also what about animation? does LSX accept 3d files? Or do I have to rotoscope it?

    Hi,

The best thing you can do is use Ild Sos to convert vector images to ilda files.

You can easily animate those images by using morphing. For example rotate a leg of the unicorn and then morph between the original and the rotated leg picture. Make sure the point number stays constant though.

Generally, people create a 2D ilda file out of an original 3D animation in another program since 3D editing is a mess in most ilda software. But LSX handles 3D Ilda files just fine.

I think the most effective way - is to create an animation in 3D MAX. And then convert to ilda with ild sos. Animation in this video, starting with 2.05 made this way.

Rotoscoping has a fluid movement if done right.
Trace from video still frames, its not hard.

you can also use drlava's "lasercam" software to do realtime video/animation to ilda conversion.

    here's a little example i made a while back.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
