Question Laser Diode boost driver with ttl?

Is anyone aware of a small, adjustable (20-300mA) boost type diode driver (i.e. 3.7V input, 5.5V output) with a modulation input? I'm thinking about building a hand-held, battery operated rgb projector and I'd like it to run on a single 18650 lithium battery.

Doubt it, as boost drivers are mostly used for pointers, where modulation is practically useless

Probably easier to get a separate step up module and just power some regular drivers from that.

buy a couple, get the chip datasheet, and find out about any ENABLE pin on it... normally there should at least be an ENABLE on most of the chips out there, or you can always put a mosfet switch at the output and direct switch the diode (though I don't know what the effect would be as most of those chips are voltage-feedback ones)

The project has evolved to include an Arduino to control the colors and scanners so I'm going to use a pair of 18650's and a 5V regulator for things that won't run nicely on unregulated 6-8V.

Next question, probably for another forum, is - does anyone know of an Arduino shield with 5 or more 8-12 bit DACs?

Thanks, but those aren't boost drivers - they need 1.5-2V more than the diode voltage. Now that I've decided to use 2 3.7V batteries, I'm going with the Badpip quad driver with full analog modulation
