    Wow! I'm away for a day, and things escalate to death-star proportions!

    Karl;

    Cloud bounce might be an option for you to watch the show, but only if we burn a hole in the roof of the building first. (Venue is indoors...) Then again, I'm guessing that Paul can probably come up with a laser that is capapble of doing exactly that, so maybe I shouldn't tempt him!

    Paul;

    The user rating is based on the number of posts, that's all. Looks like Spec changed one of the ratings to make it more representive of your high-power collection! 8)

    The 10 watt dual-tube Kr/Ar whitelight unit looks awesome! But I'm guessing that monster would need a generator to run...

    Something to consider though: If there is 3 phase power in the building, we could always pull power right from the box. (You'd need a separate 3 phase breaker in it's own housing for safety, but if you had one you could jack straight into the mains. I've seen it done before.)

    On the other hand, if you are serious about renting a generator, I think most of the attendees would be willing to chip in to cover the cost. (What did you say - $300 for one day? That's like $50 per person... Sounds like a hell of a bargain to me!) Give it some thought, and let us know if you want to do that. (I'm in for sure if you do decide to go that route.)

    Hmmm. How about plates, cups, napkins - that sort of thing. Trashbags?

    Allthat said he's bringing Lasagna, and I'm bringing some pulled pork BBQ and rolls. I imagine just about everyone will be bringing some sort of liquid refreshment...

    Lasers - got it covered in spades. Fog machines - likewise. Sound system - got it. Projecton screen - check. Tables and chairs - already there.

    Power cords will be everyone's responsibility.

    Also, attendees are invited to bring any old trinkets they're looking to sell/swap for other stuff.

    Everyone should have directions to the place by now. If not, send me a PM by Wednesday at the latest. (After that I will not be able to respond - no Internet access at my Mom's place.)

    Anyone got any other ideas or suggestions?

    You need that generator. I'm not sure of the amps, but it's a 5500 watt, 220 volt. My dad says it'll run their well. :? I'll get more specs later. I "have" to get a bigger lasagna pan. :roll: Is there an internet connection there?

    O, anone got a "cro". I plan on bringing my dt40s and alphalite to see if I can get them running. dave said a cro is a good thing to have and I wanted to see why. :?

    We'll have plenty of single phase power. No need for the generator.

    If Clandestiny decides to bring one of his larger lasers, then we might need a 3 phase generator. However, I heard we were talking somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 to rent one for a day, so it's doubtful that we'll go that route.

    What do you mean, a "cro?" I've never heard the term before. I can bring an oscilloscope if you'd like, but that really isn't required to get the Alphalite working with your DT-40's.
