Damn, the way dave said it I thought it was just me that didn't know what a cro was. Although you do, it is a cathodrayOsilliscope... He said it's nice to have to to get them more exact...

I just got a copy of LDS in. Trying to install it now. Let's hope it works with my DAC. If not I have to wait for hte USB one to arrive, and hope again.

somebody had asked me, i believe off list- how i handled power distribution at events. here are some pictures of some
power units i use. also an old photo of my living rooom which should give you guys an idea how bad my illness is-
    http://clandestinesystems.com/powerstation1.jpg and http://clandestinesystems.com/powerstation2.jpg and http://clandestinesystems.com/powerstation3.jpg and http://clandestinesystems.com/powerstation4.jpg
i have the sides removed from one unit to clairify the setup. Basically 125amps of 480 input, transformed down to
    around 400amps 208 three phase.[http://clandestinesystems.com/crazylivingroomjpeg.jpg]
I would have liked to bring a generator, but I think it will be a bit much at this point. I think we should have plenty if
someone is bringing around 1 watt or so of rgb. I will grab a small u-haul to bring down some speakers , amps, and a screen- what I am forgetting?[/img]

I had been looking foreward to seeing your guys solid state stuff, but I had been a bit teed off with myself as I didn't have anything small enough electrically speaking to bring. However, I have made progress on some of the smaller units I dug up from the garage. In the pics you can see a lexel 85s running at 15 amps single phase. I have two of these up and running.
They only have about 30 to 40 hours on them. Also, in the picture you will also see a new 3.5 watt whitelight lexel. Had that running as well all though it needs a complete alignment. Maybe I will have something to bring afterall. BTW you can clearly see in the pics that all of this shit is piled up in my kitchen/dining room. I guess it is a good thing I never got married- Ohh, in the final picture you will also see a whitelight 168 underneath the lexel 85- peace out

Damn, you're right. My girl makes me keep my stuff firmly confined to my "office/lab". There'd be hell to pay if a component made it's way to the kitchen.

I don't hink I'll be able to get my components in a box... Unless I can work a miracle on Friday. Mine will be ghettofabulous...

I see that you have a Barco projector.
    What model is it?

    Jimbo,
Most of my current fleet consist of digital projections units. However I have three barcodata 9200's that i have kept
because i have them fitted with a ultra short throw lens at 0:9:1 . Those can come in handy for rear projection in tight
    quarters.

    AHHHHHHH!

I just freaked out at the sight of the equipment you've got in your house, Paul! Would you consider adopting me? (I'm housebroken, I've had my shots, and I play well with others... Really, I do!)

That power panel looks awesome. Very neat and clean. And the Barco projector... COOOOOOOOL. (I went to a show in Atlanta a few months ago where they had two of them doing rear projection on a small stage. Loved it.)

As for the Ion lasers in the kitchen - what can I say? Very nice. *Very* nice indeed! (Are you sure you won't adopt me?)

Re: the solid state projectors... Well, George (Dreambeamz) is going to bring his 1.7 watt RGB unit, and Fred will be bringing his 300 mw RYG unit as well. (Would have been a 400 mw RGB unit, but his Lasever DPSS blue just crapped out again.) Allthat has all the components for an RGB projector, but might not have it assembled. (Though his "ghetto-fabulous" description sounds intriguing as hell!)

Assuming DZurcher is able to make it, I think he's got an all-solid state projector too. Plus there's Marconi (and maybe Spec too), so there might be one or two more projectors there. (Am I forgetting anyone???)

As for me - well, I guess I'm the lamer of the group. Monochrome green at just 100 mw, running on my Alphalite. It looks like I won't be getting my Mamba Black dongle in time for the meeting, so I won't be able to finish the show I was working on for Fred. (I started it in Mamba 2004, but wanted to upgrade to Mamba Black so I could sync it to music.) Medialas is a little backed up still from the holidays I guess. Sigh...

Allthat: Re - CRO. Ok, Dave must be old school then. I *have* heard the term Cathode Ray oscilloscope, but it's been a while. No problem - I'll bring mine. Heck, maybe Dave can show me a thing or two about it. (I'm just familiar enough with the thing that I can test basic circuits, but I'd like to learn more about what you can do with one.)

Oh yeah, and my wife just picked up a shitload of paper plates, so I'll bring those. Allthat, can you swing some knapkins and plastic forks?
