Ok, on the dvd burner diodes there is usually a tiny SMD capacitor.
Anyone know its value or have a good enough Cap meter to test one for an approximate value.

Im wondering if you can use a variable capacitor , to find the right value. I would start high and come down in capacitance.
It's extremely tiny, in the nF region. Not enough to buffer much, I suspect they used it as a termination capacitor with the stripline lead wires.
Okay, got it out. Without LD and connector ribbon it shows 27-30pF.

Thanks 20 x
I was also thinking it was in the same value
