    Default Repairing possible?

    Hey folks.

I'm sorry to post another "my laser is broken" topic, but maybe you can give me some short advice. The projector contains a red and a green diode and I'm using it by ILDA. The scanners work fine, but the lasers are off. Happens a) when I switch on the projector - then usually some standard pattern is shown and b) when I send an ILDA frame. So I guess some of the hardware is broken, but which one? And can I replace it? The connectors seem to be okay.

    Hello Matthias,

I assume your laser is TTL which is on or off when blanking.
If its a Float High type TTL driver, you should see it lase when you disconnect the modulation signal any of those two that feeds the Red and Green.
If its a Float Low type TTL driver, try to apply 5V to any of those 2 laser you should see it lase.
If both ways doesnt work , either the diodes are dead or the driver has gone bad, try to check with a multimeter and read out the output volt from the driver to the laser.

    Hope that helps!

    Regards.

Hmmm. I checked the contacts from the laser power supply board to the diodes. Seems that it is a Float Low Type TTL. The diode themselves are fine but they are not powered from the board The signals between the board in the middle to the power supply board seem to work (3.0V).

Looks like a PT iTrust show board in there. There have been other memebers that have had trouble with those. I don't want to assume it is bad but if your diodes work, your scanners work and the ilda signal from your DAC is good... it kinda narrows it down. I don't know what the level of your electronics knowledge but you can build or buy an ilda breakout board to eliminate the "middle man" but doing either will require some modifications. Do you use the DMX function at all? If you do then you will need to replace the board you have with a new one.

If you are looking for a "drop-in" replacement, they normally sell with a full set of glavos, but if you contact one of the sellers, you might be able to buy a standalone one.
Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/20Kpps-Hight...item4ac21a86d4 You can see that show board in with this set.
If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.

    here you are http://shop.spacelas.com/laser-show-...ust-p-252.html
contact them and see what you can get.

however, i do suggest you get rid of the board and wire the lasers to the ilda DB25 directly

if nothing comes out of it, i am sure many of us here have such boards collecting dust, myself included
