    Default Static beams in LSX?

Finally getting around to playing with show creation in LSX. Friend has been converting quite a bit of material, I'll be sure to share.

In the meantime, does LSX have a way to do static beams? Without creating a frame with a dot or two in it?

    Good times.

Yes, but this only works when you have basic or pro.
You need to use a beam event on the timeline and set it to a certain target world. In LSX Pro, worlds 6-13 are dedicated to beams by default.
Then open the Output target setup (the one where you can do geometric corrections and stuff). Here you can change the position of the beam by altering the MoveXY sliders. This way you can easily adapt the show for a different venue.

If you have LSX intro or if you have basic and don't have enough target worlds left, you need to create an animation for the beams.

Ah okay. I have the mid level version of LSX, the one that supports 2 DACs at once (Basic I think?)

I remember looking at those settings but thought they were for defining the safe region or something.

As soon as I get my laser laptop back from my friend (along with my USB key) I'll give it a whirl.

Hey just wanted to return and say thanks for the tip!

I think when I looked at it originally I wasn't sitting on a static point on the timeline to see output.

    Thanks again!
