    Resurrecting old thread.

I have one question that is bugging me.

Does increasing the width or length of each face of the polygon have an effect on the width of the projection.

Since the projection width is based on the angle I don't see why the length or width of each face would change it, but for some reason it feels like it would considering you are increasing something.

changing the length of each face (assuming the overall size of the polygone remains constant) will change the number of faces and the scan angle.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Only the angle and the distance to the projection surface affect the width of the projection.
The surface of the facets is important for fitting the diameter of the beam.
