    Default dichros for new 520nm diodes

    turns out that there is no way to use existing dichro stock to blend in 520nm. I had a run done and it turns out it blocks 450nm. The existing reflect blue transitions at 520nm so there is no way to use dichro. How does this sound and anyone have any ideas.

    Combine red with green using the special dichro run I had made and then use a pbs cube to add in the 450nm.

    Alternate is to heat the 450nm diodes to shorten the wavelenght to 440nm

    Alternate is to use 405nm

    Thoughts? The idea is not power but quality of beam. That is why I'm using single mode low power diodes. My hope is that the all diode build will blank like pcaom.

    Why not angle tune it ?
    Increasing the angle of incidence by 10 degrees will give you a red shift of ~2%
    460 will go 470 620 will go 632
    I know it will screw-up your topology, because it will require you to rotate your green.

    PBS scenario: Combining green with red will no longer require a special dichro, it can be done with any stock dichro.


    Afaik, heating a 450 diode will increase its wavelength!

    I think it will be awesome to put both 450 and 405 single-mode in the mix!

    have you tried exotic angles?

    maybe if you use a prism to combine beams...

    To do that, you need to cool down the 450nm diode not heat

    The materials in the dielectric stack will all have different expansion coefficients, 'snot gonna wok!
    And you will have to heat it considerable to get any effect at all.

    tried it all now I have to figure none dichro methods
