Default laser power meter or power meter head

I'm looking to buy a decent power meter or power meter head but I'm in a budget, so I'm looking possibly for something in the 100$ to 200$ range, absolute maximum (I need faster than peltier reaction time)

if anybody has an ophir head for a decent price, please shoot me a PM

How big are you looking? I have some Coherent thermopile heads good up to 10 watts. Models 200/10, FS10, and PM10-19AW (Amplified with window). Also a PM-150 150W head.

    Hi Macona

I'm looking for 20W max, like the ophir thermopile, but I'd consider any branded head as they have a high $$ retention over time, and I could resell it later to fund a fieldmax or something like that if the need arises

If you have something around those lines on which we could arrange, you can always contact me with your price

    Thanks for your input!

    Hey Shrad,

I got a Coherent Fieldmate (i believe) its well used, but accurate within .1mw and has seen over 100W shot at it. Its not in prestine condition, head has some burn marks, connector is a little bit beaten up. But compared to even a optic sensor power meter, its accuracy is as i said above within .1mw....
If you can wait until fri/sat, i'll get you some pics.

    Cheers

this is obvious I asked for a second hand solution, but I feel curious about your prices

can you please draw us a quote on the price for one unit, with a public price here, knowing that we agree your offer will be different next time due to change rates and whatever rules the business there in China (which is normal)?

buying this and getting it shipped from CA to Europe will cost more than $300 at the end (shipping of $58 plus 21% VAT to Belgium plus various fees of approx. $10)

a bit too much for me if there is nothing more than a head

OUCH That is a bit pricey. But all you need is two 9volt batteries and DMM to get it running.
