OEM Laser Quantum Gem 500mW 532nm Laser System

Hi

Up for sale i have is a 500mW laser quantum gem with power supply / Laser Head / Connection cables .

The Model is : Gem FC
Date : 11th Jan 2011

As this is a OEM system it requires 12V DC supply and the use of a RS232 COM port from a PC to turn the laser on and enable the system ( i made a simple cable that works and is included with system ) , i used a free terminal program called termite to control the system .

As showin in the pictures the laser head has a total on time of 1831.6 hours , infomation on PIN outs can be found on Sams FAQ . The output is around 100 mR , there is a FC connector on the front of the laser head ( fiber included with system ) i have not atatched the fiber myself so i am uncerten of the alimment .

The laser once enabled will ramp slowly up to selected power , once this is done the power control pin can be used to quickly vary output . The D9 connector i made is set to keep the lasers enable pin always on and the rest always on with a 100K ohm pot to control power ( once PC set )

I have no power meter to test output power and am relying on the internal power sensor .

Divergence of beam stright after the module is around 100 mRad , without the fiber attached .

Still for sale , Due to a Output issue ( with a simple lense infront of the output , it seems to output two beams near parallel to each othere , almost overlaping ) No really sure whats causing the problem :S
